The next night or two could be pretty sleepless if you are wondering if or when you are going to be bitten by the bed bugs while you are laying in your bed.

Some people actually leave flashlights beside their bed to wake up in the middle of night and check for bedbugs.

How Can I Get Rid Of Bed Bugs In My Home?

Can I Get Rid Of My Bed Bugs Without The Cost Of A Pest Control Company?

What can I use to kill the bed bugs?

All these questions can be answered by this simple video.

Of course, whether you can do it yourself will depend how advanced your bed bug infestation is, and how long it has been developing. Bed bugs reproduce quite quickly.

Mature females can lay one to three eggs every day, and with optimum conditions, there can be hundreds of those blood sucking pests within a few months.

It may have spread past the point where you can properly exterminate all the bugs, and you may need professional help.

How To Get Rid Of Bedbugs Video

If you are just experiencing your first case of bed bugs, then you are probably asking the same question as many others:

How Do I Get Rid Of Bed Bugs From My Home?

Here’s a good video on how to get started. Professional pest controllers are the solution. We do these bed bug jobs every day and we know to size up any problem you may come up against.

Check out my post and video below.

Bed Bug Extermination And Pest Control Control Measures

One of the worst pest control problems that have exponentially grown in the last couple of years is Bed Bugs.

They have come back with a vengeance after nearly being obliterated in the late forties and early fifties of the twentieth century, when pest control companies were allowed use of DDT insecticides.

We have had few problems in the developed world for the last fifty years or so.

In fact, in the nearly twenty years I have been a professional pest controller, I had seen only a few cases in my first ten years in the business, maybe one case every two years or so.

Then, about six or seven years ago, I started seeing a case here and there, maybe about a half dozen jobs a month.

They are back and causing untold terror in people living in large North American cities.

Today, I sometimes get calls and schedule three or four bed bug treatments a day! Now, that’s exponential change in the bed bug population and how they are getting around!

What can you do to defeat bed bugs? Is there a simple and easy way to get rid of bed bugs?

Well, there’s no way around it, and no way to candy coat it, controlling a bed bug infestation is a lot of work. Have a look at this video by Howdini. They can say it better than I.

Got bedbugs? Act fast!

Depending on the severity of the problem, what you do the first few days after you discover bedbugs could determine whether you have a successful extermination or a failed one.

Before the professional exterminators can come to do their job, you must clean out every closet, drawer, cabinet and shelf. Don’t sleep in other rooms because it will spread them there too.

And . . . Don’t start throwing out your furniture either, that could displace them through your house or building and will not solve the problem.

BED BUGS! by Michael F. Potter, Extension Entomologist

Most householders of this generation have never seen a bed bug. Until recently, they also were a rarity among pest control professionals.

Bed bug infestations were common in the United States before World War II. But with improvements in hygiene, and especially the widespread use of DDT during the 1940s and ’50s, the bugs all but vanished.

The pests remained prevalent, though, in other regions of the world including Asia, Africa, Central/South America and Europe. In recent years, bed bugs have also made a comeback in the U.S.

They are increasingly being encountered in homes, apartments, hotels, motels, dormitories, shelters and modes of transport.

International travel and immigration have undoubtedly contributed to the resurgence of bed bugs in this country. Changes in modern pest control practice – and less effective bed bug pesticides – are other factors suspected for the recurrence.
